Crib or Moses Basket ?

I used the same crib with DD1 & DD2 - after DD2 I threw/gave everything away and I mean everything (pretty stupid bearing in mind DD2 is only just 1).

Now expecting DC3 and am wondering should I go for crib or moses basket for first couple of weeks - I've always said moses baskets were rubbish as the baby wouldn't go in them for very long but tbh, none of my babies have gone for very long in a crib either, 6 weeks max (they start getting limbs poking out of the sides).

Are moses baskets really completely crap or would one do literally for a matter of weeks ?

I used a crib with dd and ds and both of them were in them for 5/6 months and ds especially was not small. I had one like this which was reasonable considering it includes the mattress in the price.

That is similar to the one we had for DD's.
Wonder why my babies only stay in them for a short length of time ?
