I have a seven week old girl and for a few weeks now we have been woken up to her moaning and groaning (making poo sounds intermittently) while she's asleep. At first, it was quite shocking and, if she wasn't asleep, I'd say she's in pain. The moaning and grunting can last for hours! It is also affecting me and my partner's sleep too -not that this is the most important thing... When she finally wakes up and she's having a morning nappy change and feed it stops! We've gone through so many possibilities like her being uncomfortable from a dirty nappy, not being properly winded after a night feed or hating her swaddle. But I think it could be that she's struggling to get a poo out because when I move her legs around or lay her facing down on my chest, she farts and it improves. Should we be worried?! Does anyone else have a similar experience?!
