How long can you keep sperm in the fridge....

Asked my friend this morning!
Why she thought i'd know...
I told her i'd ask mumsnet but that i didn't hold out much hope that anyone would know!
(I asked her why she wanted to know - just wondering apparently )
So, anyone have any ideas?

did it not come with a Best before date????

i imagine if it had to be stored for medical reasons { what other reasone would there be!? } there would be specific instructions on storage

Shes 4 months pregnant so obviously not trying to catch. Not that storing sperm in the fridge would help

If it is to be tested (for example because her dp has had the snip) it should be warm/body temperature - not chilled! We're all wondering now why anyone would want to store it in the fridge.

Hope it is labelled, wouldn't want anyone to think it was a foodstuff!
