My uncle passed away yesterday and I'm just in utter shock. I've not had to grieve anyone for a really long time and not anyone this close to me, I don't know how to support my family and just feel so heartbroken by everything that happened

@movingsoon13
I'm so very sorry that your dear uncle has passed.
It is hard to figure out what to do and how to support your family...maybe you could make phone calls notifying friends of his death so his DW or DC don't have to do it. Also, if you could go to their home and answer the door in case people are dropping off food or giving their condolences, or go with them to the funeral home to help them make arrangements.
You sound lovely and I'm sure you just being there will be a comfort Flowers

I’m sorry for your loss.
I would probably do as Sweetpea suggests 💐

There is a bereavement forum on Mumsnet.
You will find so much understanding & compassion on there if you head over to it.

I haven't actually posted on there although I'm struggling after losing my dad, but reading the responses about other people in the same boat has been of some comfort for me.

I'm sorry you are finding it so hard.

I actually lost my favourite uncle a few short weeks before my dad & I think my dad passing sort of pushed my uncle out of sight for now, but it's still hard.

The stupidest things remind me.
