E-bay advice please - I feel quite sick about this

I recently bought an item of clothing for my DS having previously emailed the seller to ask what condition it was in. The reply came back that it was "in perfect condition". When it arrived the fabric had "pilled" due to excessive wearing/washing, the zip was damaged and it is very shabby. As it is I cannot re-sell this item and it will end up in the charity bag. I paid £15 plus £3.50 p&p (which cost the seller 94 pence) and I am very pissed off (I paid by cheque BTW). I emailed her stating all these things and asked for a refund. I didn't hear anything, waited a week and emailed again and still haven't heard anything. Needless to say she hasn't left feedback on me. I know that if I leave negative feedback on her then she'll only do the same on me and mine is currently 100%. Should I just write this off? Sorry this is long but I really feel like I've been fleeced.

This happened to me with a cardigan- the seller stated it was brand new but when it arrived there was pilling on it. I emailed her and said there was pilling. Dh checked her feedback and checked feedback that she'd left fopr others and it became obvious that she refunded money and then left a negative for you so I wrote her a fairly honest email- saying that I knew what she did and I thought it was despicable. I never heard from her.

Unfortunately these peope have you over a barrel with feedback. I have since 2 user accounts (which is perfectly ok) one for buying and one for selling. I have a very high feedback on the selling one which will never be affected by the buying one.

Ebay will remove a feedback if its unjustified you know. You could also contact ebay here or here

Do complain to ebay- otherwise this seller will keep getting away with this

im not to sure how to do it, but you can file a complant against the seller, if the item is not as stated. most people dont want neg feedback so you should find she does refund. if you sign in to your ebay account and go to services or related links you will find steps to take to get the problem resloved, however i do belive you have to do so within 30days for buying the items.
Good Luck

pixie and nnosam, just to let you know that I emailed the seller (for the 3rd time) and said that if she didn't respond within 48 hours then I would have no choice but to report her to ebay and leave negative feedback. Quelle surprise!, I had an email back straight away - she said that she would give me a refund and the cheque arrived this morning. Many thanks for your advice - I wouldn't have known how to approach it otherwise.
