Can anyone who works in a nursery/playgroup please help me

Im looking into childcare courses as it's something I have been interested in for a while and now I have a baby (6 months old) it would be an ideal career to work around his nursery/school hours in the future

Looking at courses there are so many options! I keep finding courses for - Cache Level 3 award in Childcare and education, is this a qualification that is accepted and would allow me to work at a nursery/playschool?

I’ve been out game for while but those sort of self directed short online course no wouldn’t really be accepted the same way a 2y level 3 course full time with experience would be.

They are good taster before you start or for C V or if you have qualifications from 20y again and want to update some policies and things. Level 3 short course is not same as 2y level 3. Have you looked at career services or local college websites?

Not sure how many childcare jobs would fit around a young child’s nursery or school day so have look at job vacancies and start times
If this is key reason, you may struggle find a job that starts 915 and finish 3pm term time
