Christine Meadows - does she work??

I'm thinking of contacting a lady called Christine Meadows I saw in my NCT mag about my DD who's 11 months and still battles sleep (30 mins crying day and evening is a good day) and wakes in the night (has me up for at least 30 mins, usually an hour or more). I really don't know what to try now and I'm getting more and more tired and upset by it. This lady does phone consultations and recommedations on her website are good, but does anyone here have any experience of her?

Never heard of her.

Try Elizabeth Pantley's No Cry Sleep Solution book.

How much does she sleep in the day?

She usually sleeps about 2 hours, almost all in the morning - ie wakes around 6 and then goes back to sleep between 9 and 10 for an hour and a half; then has about half an hour (I usually have to wake her up) in the afternoon before going to sleep around 8pm. She's up in the night anytime between midnight and 4pm, usually just once, but it takes an hour or so to settle her.

Sounds like she could do with a longer nap in the afternoon so she is not going to bed too tired and no sleeping properly

I second the suggestion of the no cry book it is brilliant.

Christine sorted out my son's sleeping - she was great. A lady from my ante natal class recommended her - she needed help with her daughter's sleeping and had contacted Christine after seeing an article about her in her NCT mag.

Heck yes she works!
She's been a life saver for both my husband and me when we came back from a long trip abroad and our son didn't want to sleep alone anymore! He was 13 months at the time and got so used to being in the same room with us that he refused to sleep on his own in his own bedroom when we got back from our travels. Christine helped him with detachment and also tought us how to deal with situations like that in the future. We travel a lot and now over 6 months later and just back from another extended stay abroad we have no problems getting him back on routine what-so-ever.
Do give her a call - she's really nice!

Did you contact her in the end? What did you think?
