I know I'm being unreasonable but...

I got off the train at an unfamiliar station. I couldn't get a ticket at start station and no conductor. End station has barriers so you purchase ticket before barriers. I stand at booth. I'm in wrong place and now 3 people in front of me who know to queue at certain side, if I'd known would have been at front.

In queue a persons friend comes off train and sees friend in fromt of me. Great she says for the queue. The queue is now long behind me. As its my turn (shes in front of me with friend) she says do you mind?...

I said well you are going to anyway...

To which she loudly went to back of long queue shoutung about better go to back as other folk my have a problem.

To be honest I could have been nice and let her in front.

But the entitlement and I was running late with the queue annoyed me.

What would u have done? Just let it go or asked her to go to the back of the queue.

(I was very apologetic and nice to the ticket seller as was needlessly explaining the queue system i was unaware of).

She was being a CF, you did nothing wrong.

I hate it when people do this,it makes my blood boil. I remind CF's that there is a queue behind me and say it loudly so that it embarrasses them. You do get the shocked look occasionally that someone's had the nerve to call them up on it.

Not your fault.
Many years ago, we’d had a death in the family. I was off work and the children were at school.
I went to a local music shop which had a small cafe and sat at a table. An elderly (in his 70’s) man asked if he could join me. I motioned for him to sit down.
My coffee and lunch came.
The man took a cigarette out and said ‘do you mind if I smoke?’ I said yes actually I do as I’m eating.
He shrugged his shoulders and lit up.
I felt tears coming and sat crying quietly. The cafe was full and I had nowhere else to move to.
Sometimes even when we are in the right, we are made to feel in the wrong. It’s sad.
