should I feed potential buyers?

we have accepted on offer to buy our house from a couple with two children. They are coming for another look on Sunday at 12.30. As they have to travel a really long distance I feel like I ought to offer them lunch but I'm neither very sociable or a good cook - what do you think?

How about just tea and biscuits, or cake if you're feeling adventurous? I'm sure they wouldn't expect you to feed them and the offer of a snack will be very welcome.

tahnks for the suggestion. Its such a difficult time of day - we normally have a fairly traditional roast dinner and I don't think cooking smells from that would be a good idea!

I wouldn't dream of feeding potential buyers! Change your day to have cooked meal in evening, and give your children an easy lunch before the buyers arrive.

I wouldn't dream of offering a drink let alone a meal! Its business not time to make friends.

Good luck, hope it the move goes well!

feed them suzywong's brownies and promise to give them the recipe if they buy the house.

Sounds liek they have planend to look around and then go for lunch around 1 - 1.30 to me. They must have considered the timing if they have children. I would offer them a drink as they have travelled a long way but nothing else should be necessary - and could spoil the children?s appetites after all.
Hope it goes well.

feel I ought to try and make friends of them as we want the sale to go through smoothly. Don't want to spoil the children's appetites so perhaps I'll just do the drink and offer biscuits. I'll look up suzywong brownies though
