40th birthday present for Friend

My friend is going to be 40 in March next year. She is going to Florida, Disneyworld and swimming with Dolphins in Feb to celebrate.
I wanted to do something in the Pamper line, cannot afford to pay for a day in a health club, but wondered if anyone had any ideas (up to £50).

kkgirl - it doesn't have to be a whole day. Many beauty salons do gift vouchers or special treatment packs (eg full body massge and facial) - my sister bought me a "pregnancy massage" thing and it was great! Also if the beauty salon turns out to be too expensive - try the local tech collage. They run beauty parlours staffed by trainees (but obviously they will already have received a fair amount of training). Maybe that way you can afford a pamper day for the two of you?

I agree with Lucy123 - a luxury pedicure would be a nice treat before her holiday.

I got a beauty voucher as one of my 40th presents & it was definately the best one!

Lucy123 and Lindy

That sounds great. She is such a lovely person, gives everything to her children, but won't go out without them even though I have offered to babysit. I usually give her something at Christmas and Birthdays so she can treat herself.
I will investigate with beauty salons. Thanks

Would she perhaps appreciate one of those 'fantasy tans' before she goes on holiday. the spray booth systems or St. Tropex, have never had it done myself but this would be a 'treat'.
What a good friend....

I think you can rent a tanning bed for a week for under £50. My neighbor did it before she went on holiday to get started on her tan. They delivered it to her house and picked it up.

My oldest friend gave me the BEST present when I had my 40th birthday last week. She dug out all the best photos she could find of us, me, etc going back eons, scanned them, printed them and made a big photo montage for me. It was so touching that she'd put lots of thought into it, as well as a great laugh - did we really look like that? Sadly, yes!
