Daft question regarding mattresses

Tomorrow we are swapping the two boys over to go into each others bedroom. The bed in DS2's room would be hard to move so is there any reason we can't just swap the mattresses over? What worries me a bit is DS2 (aged 2.5) will then be sleeping in his Daddy's old bed (ie 30 years old) but with a new mattress. DS1 (aged 6 3/4 yrs currently sleeps in it)

I am completely daft.

If they're the same size bed, then of course you can swap the matresses over

Thank you!

The bed's age no probs then?

do you actualyl need to swap the materesses?

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 29/12/2007 20:41

I know it sounds daft but DS2's is newer and hasn't been weed on yet so no point ruining 2!!

I have 2 protectors on but the mattress has had wee on it, either when no sheet on or not the waterproof one.

Unless the bed is painted with lead paint and you're expecting your DS to chew on it. it'll be fine.

Thanks for that, It is a pine bed. We hope to get DS1 a new bed this year, once he is reliably dry all the time. Haven't had chance to move them yet anyway!
