pmsl at hekate

I can relate to it all

dh hums a tune if he's uncomfortable or nervous

also alwasy cuts up his fruit and puts it on a plate instead of just FUCKING EATING IT!

gingemebells · 29/12/2007 12:53

Dh offers me food, or should I say shoves it up my nose, hes eating and he knows damn well I dont like it saying 'go on you never know' he does it to our 3 year old who has already said no
He talks to himself all the time.
Asks where he put something which usualy means I have tidied it away and put it where it actualy belongs.
Puts rubbish or re cycling next to the bin rather than in it.
Washes up as soon as his plate is empty despite if everyone else is finnished or not.
Oh I could go on...........

HairyIrene · 29/12/2007 12:56

love the rhino snort wanderingholly!
and in admiration of your personal restraint too, of course!

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 29/12/2007 13:05

I eat pears like that as well.

Charlee · 29/12/2007 13:12

I hate people who say 'what do you mean?' after things like dp, example:-

Me - DS has fallen over

DP - What do you mean he's fallen over?

Me - as in he is no longer standing but is sprawled on the effing floor! What did you think i ment?

Anna8888 · 29/12/2007 13:14

Eating a pear like a chicken leg is just slobbish and lazy. But eating a chicken leg (I think you mean a drumstick, don't you) like that is also slobbish and lazy and very bad table manners - there is nothing irrational about disliking it, it's totally rational.

Charlee · 29/12/2007 13:16

DP also cuts burger up rather than picking them up.

He takes the top bun off and takes the middle out before then eats it like a proper meal. Even McDonalds and things.

It's revolting to eat with your fingers - that's why it's bad table manners to eat a drumstick, or a pear, like that.

Use a knife and fork, please, like a civilised human being, not an ape .

Charlee · 29/12/2007 13:21

I figure chickend legs wouldn't be that shape if you wernt supposed to eat them like that?

Although i only eat them holding them at bbq's if i am having them with a meal i use my knife and fork. I think it deppends on the setting.

SpacecadetLovesChristmas · 29/12/2007 13:22

what really annoys me is...dc's leaving empty boxes of cereal etc in the cupboard so that I think they still have some in them..grrrr...no one changes the toilet roll..no one empties the bin..my dcs will actually just drop stuff on top of the overflowing bin..........I could go on.

It was good enough for Henry VIII Anna, and it's certainly good enough for us

food is a tactile pleasure at times and not an anal retentive exercise a la Nancy Mitford

It's revolting to see pear juice smeared all around someone's mouth and dribbling down their fingers.

And if people were to eat a pear like that in the life I lead, they wouldn't get very far - they'd immediately be relegated to the realms of the great unwashed and uneducated and wouldn't have a decent job or lifestyle .

Anna8888 · 29/12/2007 13:28

Gosh, do you eat Henry VIII style banquets, Twiglett?

chicken drumsticks and hamburgers and sometimes chips are finger foods

oranges also finger foods and other citrus fruits .. in fact all fruits .. possibly not fruit salad

tactile joy

Barmy?

Most people would find it pretty comfortable .

GoodGollyMissMolly · 29/12/2007 13:48

My DH does this thing when he yawns where at the end of the yawn he makes a high pitched noise, it really irritates me and makes me want to rip his bloody head off.

Also if I've lost something, like once I lost my purse just before going on holiday and DH said to me 'What do you mean it's lost?, where did you lose it'
FGS if I knew where I had lost it, it wouldn't be fucking lost.

Anna8888 · 29/12/2007 13:50

Pizza is finger food - I can't bear people eating pizza with a knife and fork. Almost as bad as eating Chinese or Japanese food with a knife and fork. Chips can also perhaps be eaten in your fingers, depending on the setting.

hey Anna .. that's the point of the thread flying over your thread

it's supposed to be amusing for one and all .. not a debate about your pecadillos

refer to Hekate's posts if you would like to see how to do it properly

Charlee · 29/12/2007 13:53

If i loose something even if i know its in the hose somewhere dp goes into panick mode and claims it must be 'gone forever' if its my purse of phone he sets about canceling cards and contracts this is after 2 mins of it being lost......
