I Dont know where to post this but I hope I get suggestions here.

So, I am looking into renting because of a repossession order on my property and I am wondering what to tell the potential landlord because he is asking for a reference from a former landlord. He is likely not going to rent the property to me if I say my home was or is going to repossessed is he? What can I say?
Also, I have a bad credit rating which is not asking to check but asking for my bank statements which I am not comfortable giving my bank statement to a stranger (my statement is bad, to be honest).
My partner is on sick pay from his work insurance. How do I explain these to the potential landlord?🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️😭😭

Can you get a guarantor? Initially we had one as renters.. Now our last ll gave us a glowing reference based on being a good tenant and a good payer - and the fact he was booting us out to make a holiday let! . .. I am SE and it isn't easy. Can you get work references also?

My credit rating is shot - also repossession.. I did manage to get an Argos card and making regular payments seems to be helping.
Even PayPal let me do that instalment thing!! Good luck.
