If today gets any worse then I think that it should be started again properly. The amount of things that have broken, fallen off, blown up and/or given up the ghost is just not funny. The children are not being darlings (or maybe it's just my mood). DH working overnight so of course everything is going wrong today. Stop the world I want to get off. Just wanted to get that off my chest. No time to play on mumsnet tonight, or at least not for hours. Have to bathe the twins, put 6 year old to bed AGAIN, do homework with the 10 and 11 year old as well as reassure them that school isn't that bad. There! Had a good moan. Almost feeling better. Go on with your evening ladies and gents. The rant is over!!!!!!!!

Hiya Just a quick hello before you disappear - glad i'm not the only one that hates the world today. The children have been horrid all day today. The house is a tip, dp is away for a week, can anything else go wrong??? I know this doesnt help you much but just wanted you to know you're not alone in feeling crap today

MarsLady · 16/11/2004 19:15

Thank you darling. Going to open a very LARGE bottle when all are in bed.

might join you!

Me too marslady! I woke up late and had to clean up the mud my dh had left all over the house, then do the washing up (its his job when I go out on a monday evening) and then host a meeting with a screaming baby. Then deal with a grumpy screaming 4 year old all afternoon who wouldn't tidy her room. And now, dh who has been home for an hour is going back out for a meeting. As soon as the kids are in bed, I intend to pour myself a large drink, find some chocolate and sit down. I'll probably be on here or msn if the other harrassed mums are about and fancy joining me in a drinkypoo.

Cadbury · 16/11/2004 19:20

Great minds!

clairabelle · 16/11/2004 19:23

Mine's been shocking and to amke matters worse we have no food and I now have to go to Tescos back later for a large one.

MarsLady · 16/11/2004 19:24

see you at about 9.30. Have the vodka bottle open and ready to pour. Open the chocolate mountain that I'm convinced is hidden in the back and wait for me.

Actually, have just turned the 'welcome from Ireland' thread into a bar as this one had gone quiet. Thought we should raise a glass to a newbie. Come next door...

I've opened our last bottle of red! Dh was probably saving it but what the hell! I've gone in search of sweet things and have resorted to stale wagon wheels from the back of the cupboard.
