how do you pronounce "been"

This is for my son's spelling. I'm American and say "ben" but do you guys (ie Brits) say "bean"?

Two different issues, if so (ie difference between been and bean and difference between been and Ben)... thanks!!!

You haven't lived until you can hear your greek boyfriend pronounce BEACH, BITCH and PEACH. (they all aound exactly the same...) Also Purple Turtle---PPH hope you get to see this! Purpala and Turtala....

It the states we pronouce Been as Bin.
