some kids just knocked the door singing Christmas Carols & fair play they were quite good, so I gave them £1.50 (ok not much) and some chocolates & off they went.

As I sat down I looked out the window & saw the same kids coming out of the shop opposite my house, with a packet of fags . I cant believe I just gave money to underage kids to buy fags - they looked about 12 or 13 at a guess. I am fuming. Shall I go and get the fags off them and give them to MIL, she smokes ?

Well the girl looked about 13 I suppose she could pass as 16 at a push the boys definately looked about 12. I will go across when DH gets home and complain.

Get them! Now..Complain to the shop too. Little b***S. Give sweets in future ; if they seem happy, then maybe give 20p!

DH just phoned me and I told him what happened & he said exactly what you all said to report them & give sweets not money. I will have to go and buy sweets - i have everything in except sweets.

I can't believe the cheeky little sods I am still seething , especially as I am so against smoking.

is it 16 or 18 to buy fags i am not too sure? its possible they asked someone to buy them, I have been asked to buy fags by kids before now, or the shop assistant was young herself/himself & hasnt got a clue.
