Can't find any price lists anywhere but this place says it can get them verycheapveryquick. There's a getaquote link at the bottom.

Do you happen to know if this pothole has been there for long? Only I believe you can sue the local authority for the cost of repairs if it's been negligent (I've read about it in Honest John, he gets v cross about potholes and speedbumps causing damage)

ask for a remould it will be cheaper than a new tyre

Did Renault make the Scenic in 1991 ? I used to work for Renault and AFAIK it was launched around 1997-1998.

Fircone, I don't think it's the tyre cost that's the problem...

Have a look on Ebay ? Unfortunately Renault parts are v expensive.

WingsofanAngel · 21/12/2007 11:42

Do you mean the steel rim that the tyre goes on.
Do you have any breakers yards need you ?

WendyWeber · 21/12/2007 11:44

A scrapper would be cheaper, but you don't know where it's been...

WingsofanAngel · 21/12/2007 11:46

You could ring round garages and see if they have any second hand ones.

LIZS · 21/12/2007 11:49

sorry 2001 !! Yes it is the actual metal bit the tyre sits on (hub?) that needs replacing. We've already spent about £1200 on it this year . Not sure if it is named on the local pothole campaign but will check.

They call it a rim I think.

That link I posted sells used parts but they are guaranteed for 6 months if I read it right, so cheaper than new.

LOL at your timewarp

B*gger £130 and they'll have to order one so won't arrive until New Year . Is it actually illegal not to have a spare or just for MOT ?
