registering a birth

i dont have to do it for another 8 weeks hopefully ( 33 weeks pg) but do you have to take your own birth cetificate or any id to register a birth. cant find any info that says you need to take anything but thought you must do.
btw this is the question that was keeping me awake for 2 hours last night. the joys of pregnancy

No - you don't need to take anything with you pud - not even baby

If you're not married and you want baby's dad on the cert you need to take him though.
