Does any one know anything about Marlborough?

Dh just been offered a job there.We have got 2 dd's, 21 months and 7 months, and live in a pretty small village at the moment. I like the idea of living somewhere a bit larger. Can anyone tell me anything about Marlborough? Thanks

Only been on holiday - as near to Avebury which i really love alot and am very that you could visit any time.

Beautiful square with great pubs.

Oh - and we met Norris Mcwherter (sp) in a pub there about 10 yrs ago.

Marlborough is lovely but very pricey both in terms of housing and the shops there. Beautiful part of the world though, and plenty of big/small villages and towns to choose from in that part of Wiltshire/Berkshire that are very commutable to Marlborough itself.

Loads of press there at the moment because Pete whatever he's called (Kate Moss's ex) is living there.
