sex scans, are they accuarte?

A friend was told through out her pregnancy that she was expecting a girl. A few days before the birth the baby's posistion was breech so she had another scan and was told it was a boy!!! She had to give away all her pink stuff and redecorate the baby's room, not to mention she was in shock for a day or two.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I was told the sex of my 2 lo's - one at 23 weeks and one at 26 weeks - both were correct - 1 girl and 1 boy.

i was told i was having a girl at 20 wk scan - had another scan at 32 weeks and was told I was having a boy. Already have a son so i was over the moon cos i really wanted another boy

Mine was accurate

28 weeks and it was 100% accurate

bit of luck too, as I had bought evrything in pink by the time she arrived
