Can't help, sorry, but will be watching this post carefully. I have searched everyone in office supply shops and computer shops but no one has seen anything like this product before.

Looking on the web this was the only one like it I saw, but would rather buy in shop so I could see it first.

My ds has dyspraxia and uses a laptop some of the time in school, but it is heavy and has a lot of features he doesn't need, whereas the Alpha Smart seems to be perfect as a handwriting substitute.

Hoping to have some money left over after Christmas to buy one.

Me too!It is really lightweight and brilliant for ds.He is also dyspraxic and it means he gets everything down from the board whereas without it he misses heaps.I did bid for one on ebay but was outbid so will keep looking

We did get ours off ebay (a few months abck so not me who outbid you!), sadly it lasted a grand total of a day as ds1 left it about (as he does) and ds3 (oblivious to the world) stood on the screen- I can get a replacement and Dh can fit it but keep forgetting / having to put off for more urgent things.

Ours was from ebay.com, even with postage it was still far cheaper to buy from America

thanks I think I'll do that
