Shocking Safe style experience

Arranged a quote from safestyle (Ellesmere port). The sales advisor arrived 40 minutes late, having a different excuse to the one provided by the office in the courtesy call. Regardless, I politely invited him in.
The sales advisor measured up and quoted me £3800 for 2 medium windows and an exterior composite door. When I declined this, in his next breath he reduced this to £3000.
When I explained that I had a local company providing a quote in the afternoon he then lowered this to £2650.
As expected with any sales company, he proceeded to speak unfavourably about other companies and advised me to use Safestyle as other companies wouldn’t be able to fit me in until March-April 22 and would be poor quality. I advised that I would get back to him but thanked his for coming.

Later that day, I received a call from the local manager. I advised that we had received a quote of £1800 (all in) for the same windows and doors, to be fitted end of January by a local company but thanked them for their time. The manager was pleasant.

The following day I received a call from Safestyle’s Head office asking for feedback. I politely advised of my experience and that I was unhappy that they were going to charge me £3800, which was quickly reduced without any clear calculations. I shared my concerns that some customers may have been blindsided by the sales patter and ultimately paid significantly over the odds, in my opinion.
The male became extremely rude, sarcastic, raising his voice and speaking over me. He asked for my honest opinion but then responded completely unprofessionally. I asked him not to call me again. That night I received another call which I did not answer.

The following day I received a further call from the Head Office manager asking for feedback. I advised of the conversation I had with the previous representative and she initially apologised. However, again when I advised them that I have been unhappy with the experience and their sales approach and quote, and will be using a different company, she began talking over me, stating that safe style products are the best and that my windows and doors will fail after 5 years (despite not knowing the company). She also began raising her voice and arguing with my opinion, speaking to me in the manner that was belittling. She initially advised that they no longer use the ‘old school’ sales approach and would have called me to reduce the price had I have accepted the initially £3,800. Which I highly doubt. She then began stating that I should have expected them to start off high and reduce the price (despite just saying they don’t practice that anymore).
Utterly disgusting customer service, causing stress to customers that is completely unnecessary. Contradictory and disrespectful. I will NEVER use Safestyle and I urge anyone to consider the company’s ethos and compare them to other companies before instructing them.
I have had to block their number to prevent them from contacting me further.

The local company have been brilliant, friendly, efficient and the quality is excellent too. No complaints!

You dodged a massive bullet there. Safestyle replaced two windows 11/2 years ago and they damaged the new windows, wrecked my existing plaster. They have finally reskimmed today after multiple missed appointments and the plaster is cracking already. What a horrible company, avoid like the plague.

We had them round to quote for 9 new windows and 2 doors. They quoted 11.5k but said if we signed on the day it would drop.to 8.5k. At the time dh thought it reasonable and we signed. He said someone would be round as a surveyor and started showing us family photos and laying it on thick that he would be charged for the survey if we cancelled.

A few days later and before the survey we did realise the quote wasn't that good and we cancelled.

There followed about a week where we multiple silent phone calls made to the number we had used as the contact for them. We did wonder if it was a coincidence but if it was It was also a massive coincidence that they stopped the day after i phoned in an official complaint about it to the head office.

Sage style came and quoted and said they had to wait for the decision maker to agree. I said I was the decision maker as I was the higher earner but no they wanted to speak to my husband

They got fucked right off out of it.

Bunch of scumbags.

They dropped in door to door and it just happened that we were considering new windows but hadn't looked. Seemed like as good a place as any to start, so invited them back for a 6pm appointment a week later.

Made it absolutely clear that we wouldn't have the money or be in a position to start for maybe 6 months.

On the day they used all the usual tactics. Last few days before the prices go up, must pay deposit today, numerous fake phone calls to the boss to reduce the price from the original £18k to £13k. By 10:30pm three of the kids were literally in tears wanting to go to bed, my wife and I hadn't even eaten, and after the 4th polite request for them to leave I finally threatened to call the police.

I got sales phone calls off them maybe 5 times per week for 2 years, always mispronouncing my surname in the same way.

I wouldn't piss on a safestyle sales person if they were on fire in my front room.
