Just a very bland and over rated singer. And I agree with the "I'm an ordinary Tottenham girl" spiel she spouts is getting tedious. And the "I moved to LA because London is too expensive" crap. Tax avoidance had nothing to do with that 😏😏😏 just don't understand her appeal.

Overexposed and overhyped. I just don't understand the appeal of warbly, nasal singing. 🤷‍♀️

There are plenty of artists whose music I don't like. I don't write nasty articles about them and I don't presume to be some sort of clear thinking wonder because of it. I assume different people simply have different tastes. Some will agree and some won't.

In fact, I'd own many houses and I wouldn't give a rat 's arse what anybody thought about me. She very clearly can sing, she might not be your cup of tea but she absolutely can sing.

I understand she is very talented but personally I don't like to listen to her. I don't like Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston's voice either. My ears don't like them.

I used to really like Adele, but the way she treated that Australian journalist who said he hadn’t listened to her whole album (genuine mistake on his part he didn’t know he had been sent a preview).
She walked out (he’d flown all the way to LA) and refused to let the interview be shown. Which cost his network a million dollars…
It feels like she’s lost her roots which is a shame. The old Adele wouldn’t have done that, she’s have laughed along. I don’t think LA does good things to people.

She's not really to my taste either but I think she's innocuous. I don't get the hate for her.

@Campfirewood As an Australian, I can tell you that journalist got more heat from us Aussies than he got from Adele. He was rightly chastised, forget the email, he should have made certain he himself listened to it, without needing to be prompted. As other Aussie journos said, he didn't do even the most basic of research, which meant he wasted the tv networks time and expenses.

I like some of her earlier stuff but the latest one is awful. I have to turn the volume down if it comes on the radio. I think it’s all hype now.

@Campfirewood It's not about the email. He should have sought out the album and listen to it unprompted. It is part of his job! He was roundly criticised by his own fellow journalists in Australia. He shouldn't have needed to be emailed, he should have used his own initiative and tracked down the album himself, as it's research and preparation. If you interview a musician, the very first step is listen to their music. He cost the tv network money because he was too lazy to do his job, and it was all his fault.

The album hadn’t been released yet though @ClaudiaJ1 and clearly the chap did not realise he was expecting an advanced copy.

I’m not a fan, but I do think she’s got a great voice.

I can’t really see the point of this thread. There are plenty of things I don’t like, but I don’t need an article in The Sun to validate that.

She's a bit of a one trick pony, she wouldn't have whole lot to sing about if her relationships had been more successful.

Yep I agree. Mainly on the basis it’s not great musically. Droney tone, all at the same dynamic, and only around five notes repeated over and over in the compositions. I always think people who like Adele actually don’t like music. Sorry!

She's right about housing costs though. I've been to Beverly Hills & what you get there is not possible in central London.

I can't bear Adele. She's the worst example of boring monotine one-trick pony that believes her own hype and thinks swearing is cool and edgy when it just makes her look thick, and I am sick to death of the sycophancy surrounding this overhyped woman.

I thought she was OK when she was still cha-hasing pa-havements but somewhere along the way she got far too hyped.
