No Xmas present for son

Received a lovely phone call from ex today, DS6s "dad" to tell me he'd had to buy a brand new phone and that he was ringing from his new number.. he then went on to tell me he won't be able to get our son ANYTHING for Christmas, the son he refuses to pay for (and for some reason CMS let him get away with it) because his next baby is due in February.

Now imagine the uproar if I stopped providing for my DD10 because I'd had another child, yet he seems to be praised for creating another life (this will be the 4th since DS) he won't provide for.

That's ridiculous. He could at the very least save for a box of chocolates or something small if he's living on the breadline.

He's really not though, weekends away every other month, pub every weekend, always with the latest gadgets.

Should probably add DS didn't receive anything for his birthday either and it's not the first time, the excuses never end when it comes to DS.

That’s really sad. Does he take care of him in general? I would be tempted to cut off. What can you say to your son, I would have to buy something and lie but shouldn’t have to.

He's a right loser. Sorry your son has to deal with this.

He's supposed to see DS every other week for a couple of hours that would build up over time, it's court ordered so I've been advised not to cut him off completely, but it had been that long that last time DS looked at him and asked "who are you?"

DS definitely won't be going without though.
