I have the nicest, most polite boy that works for me. This week I found out that he has never had a xmas stocking. I knew his mother was an evil witch (didnt even send him a card for his 18th) but I think thats so sad.
This year he will be getting one
BUT any ideas-mine arent that age yet and not sure what to put in?

I woudl ghet a large xmas bag in stead of the sock thing
and put na cd?

Depends on how much you want to spend. If he has a PAYG phone and you know which one, you could get a top-up card. Book or cd tokens. Don't forget the tangerine.

I used to do stockings for my stepchildren until they were in their early 20s (stopped pretty much when they left uni) so I have experience and know how hard it is! Agree with coddy, if you can get something bigger than a stocking it will be easier. What a lovely thought, by the way

For sds I used to put in things like a nice mug, chocs, a few jokes like fake moustache, CD, book, pens... help, I can't remember much! I will keep thinking.

At 18 I assume the only thing he'd want is a leg?

seriously, top up card, CD, tangerine, diesel aftershave (currently about £7.50 in Asda), choccies, key ring, a couple of cinema tickets, a lottery ticket, etc......

Oh, things like a disposable camera and a cheap photo album, or one of those things like little washing lines with suckers either end and clips that you can use for hanging up postcards and pics.

That is such a nice thing to do. My brother is 19 and I'm having problems..... a copy of Viz? It's a magazine - like a beano but definatly for adults . It's not porn though! A mach 3 razor? All young men like to think they really need it. Erm, jokey socks?

Brilliant ideas thanks-loads of stuff I wouldnt have thought of (like phonecards)
He is really into 70's tv shows so have just spent fun half hour on ebay-have got 2 blakes 7 comics, a knightrider cd clock and a model of the car, a battlestar galactica annual and hopefully the complete set of episodes on dvd.

Well, my brothers are 17 and 19, and they both still get stockings cos they're still at home...! My Mum's always put a mixture of things they'll use, in with things that are really more silly things, and they love it! Just a few little toys and bits thrown in there are great. Hawkins Bazaar do some fun stocking fillers, and they're not all just for kids. www.hawkinsbazaar.co.uk
