i know, that seems like a very strange question to ask, I ought to know! But bear with me lol

ds2 is 7 weeks old, breastfed on demand, usually every 2-3 hrs including during the night.
and yet I am bleeding. I figured I was just really unlucky and it was my periods starting up, but it isn't really heavy enough to be a period. Usually I have quite heavy periods and this just isn't quite "right"

but then, what else could it be?????
am confused

have you had any gap in bleeding since the birth? Or has it just carried on intermittently? If you are breastfeeding on demand I would have thought it unlikely that your periods would have started again yet.

yes, I stopped bleeding about 3 weeks after giving birth.
so this is almost exactly a month after that.
weird

Sounds like it - mine had returned by then both times while bf. Things won't settle for a while if you continue to bf so don't read anything into the amount and don't overlook contraception !

I was told that BF only reliable if feeding 2hourly, 24 hrs!! Even then it is not a reliable form of contraception.

Chances are your period may be different to how it was before PG, or may take some months to settle back to a 'proper' period.

Mines didn't return until 9 months post-birth whilst BF but it still took months to feel normal IYSWIM?

haha LIZS dp definitely isn't overlooking the contraception atm. I want number 3 already lol, and he most definitely doesn't
