To try and keep this brief , I’m due to marry and my fiancé divorced a year or so ago but didn’t sort a clean break order. I earn a very good wage and I’m told that if the ex was to look to make a spousal claim they’d see how much I earn to calculate what he has available. Ex won’t sign , she’s obstructive at the best of times. We’ve offered to pay for her to see a lawyer of her choice to review the terms of the consent order but she refuses keeps saying no without reason. I really don’t want ties and as a family a commitment to pay this woman who has moved on has a child with another man and is living with the kids dad. She doesn’t work at all and I can’t see that changing. Feel so annoyed she can’t just sign it! Any suggestions?
