No hot water or heating for 2 weeks...what am I going to do?

We are just about to have our heating system overhauled which includes new boiler, new radiators and new pipework. The current lot is a waste of space ("Oooh you've had cowboys in 'ere love") and if we want to finally have a warm winter is is going to have to be done. Only problem is, from next monday we will have no hot water or heating for 2 weeks!!! Oh my God!! And it's supposed to turn really cold - HELP!

Any one got any good ideas on how to bath 2 small children and 2 large adults and how to stay warm without heat?

I would go to a neighbours for showers. We bought a Delonghi oil filled electric heater and that heated our house when our boiler blew up a few years back. I think it was £90 from B & Q btw.

Rather you than me, hang on in there!
