help needed please with freelance work

am writing full time phd and full time mum and need some extra cash... looking for some freelance writing/ editing (academic or 'normal' writing!). areas are history of art, philosophy/ politics/ current events/ fashion/ food etc...

would be most grateful for any hints/ connections/ work anyone can think of please (have refernces obviously)

Hi subs, I know it's not the most exciting stuff but have you thought about doing some proofreading? It pays quite well and a good way to pick up work is from graphic design cos. who are doing brochures/prospectuses/catalogues etc. Also universities and colleges sometimes have work as they produce so many different catalogues, documents etc. A GF of mine finds this a useful sideline to her writing.
