Hi Mumsnetters!

My first post and I REALLY need your help!
I have an iPhone 12 and used it to take pics throughout my pregnancy, documenting my bump and whatnot but also to take pics of my precious newborn and first DC!
Anyway I thought I had transferred all the pics to my pc (only to discover my pc has run out of memory and so didn't transfer everything/much at all) and I deleted the pics from my iPhone which also deletes it from iCloud. Called apple they say since I've gone past the 30 days there is nothing they can do! I have scoured the internet for advice and the easeus and stellar apps haven't worked for me (is it because I have no pc memory which is another issue in itself as I have deleted all docs and pics but still get the no storage message appearing when trying to use these apps) anyway, these pictures as you can imagine are very VERY important to me and I would really appreciate any help!!

No advice on getting them back on your phone, but did you send them to anyone?
WhatsApp? Fb messenger? They may still be there and you can always ask family/friends to send you anything you sent?

Thanks Cheesey, no unfortunately we are talking about over a 1000 pics which were mostly only saved on my phone.

No, sorry. That's heartbreaking but there won't be a way to get them back.

Two ideas, to try.

  1. Is there any other computer, iPhone or iPad that you would have been synchronised with iCloud, but not connected to the internet since you deleted the images.

If there is you may find they are still there, provided the device doesn't get a chance to sync and delete them. i.e. remove the SIM card, and turn off any wi-fi routers that the device knows the credentials for.

  1. Investigate file recovery tools or services for iPhone. This will work best if you haven't written more data to the phone since you deleted the images.

(Apple wouldn't suggest this as it's not an "approved solution")

Thanks @Dbank
I don't think so for option 1
I've scoured the net for option 2 and called in to tech companies but no luck
Any suggestions to try for option 2? Thanks

I've not tried it but perhaps something like...

Option 2 is a no go. Once media is deleted from a phone, so is the encryption key used to 'unlock' the image and make it viewable.
Without the key, even if you recover the image, you won't be able to see it as it'll be a jumbled mass of encrypted data.

Ah thanks, I didn't realise re the encryption key.
