You could be sitting on a fortune! There has been a fire in the factory and there will be no Branston pickle produced for the foreseeable future. Shops are selling out...and ebay is full of jars of Branston at silly prices. Will do a link on my next post when I have instructions to follow!

mmm, Branston pickle.

marthamoo · 11/11/2004 19:17

We have a big jar in the cupboard - unopened! Going to save it as a nest egg for the kids

SP, I'll post you a jar for...oooh say...£35. Bargain!

A big helping of Branston pickle is two points you know, fio (I am a sad, sad woman...but thin!)

It may be 2 points but it counts as a serving of vegetables doesn't it?

mm- at the unopened jar of pickle.

marthamoo · 11/11/2004 19:26

Aw bless - do you really want some? I could send you some for Christmas.

thanks mm. We only ran out last week and you can sometimes buy it here if you go to the really posh supermarkets (or the coast). I just have to find a day to go to the posh supermarket without dh, who always manages to blow 3 times the food budget on things you can't actually eat when we go there.

I'll let you know if I still can't find any before christmas!

SecondhandRose · 11/11/2004 19:43

JanH · 11/11/2004 20:56

SP, didn't any of your visitors bring you some? If not, why not? (And if they did, what the hell have you been doing with it?)

Have photos to send you btw....watch your post (but don't hold your breath!)

bonym · 11/11/2004 21:29

There's loads in our local Asda - I don't think anyone is bidding on the ones for sale on ebay!

zephyrcat · 12/11/2004 15:38
