I had a phone call yesterday from my gp asking me to go on and see him. Question is what for.

I had a scan In May and gp said it was ademoysis on a phone call. Do you think she has forgotten this and arranged to see me to discuss the results.

My other question is why now and why not a few months ago after my scan not 5 months later

Im so worried any advice helpful

Could it be because the dr hasn't seen you face to face due to Covid and can now so will have an appointment with you to discuss your health ?

I hope so

Don't panic anything serious the dr would of insisted on seeing you yesterday surely ?

This was at 3.00 in afternoon and they had a space next Friday but I couldn't wait that long.

Oh ok, the face that they want to see you next Friday is great that shows it's not too urgent don't you think ?

Can you ring first this Monday and say your worried and need to speak with a dr now

Rizzoli123 · 09/10/2021 23:05

I am going on Tuesday instead but I'm still worried as it is very out of the blue

Try. It to worry as it won't help anything. I know that's easier said than done

Give the dr a call on Monday morning first thing and explain your anxiety to the receptionist and get the dr to call you

If it was anything urgent and serious you’d have been asked to come down that day or the doctor would have spoken with you on the phone immediately.

So I can’t imagine it’s anything unexpected.

You could phone and ask what it’s for, but to be honest, people are struggling to get through on the phones to make appointments, receptionists are rushed off their feet and Monday is the busiest day as many people need appointments having been ill over the weekend, so while I know you are worried I think it would be good if you can wait until your appointment. If you just can’t control yourself until then you could phone. I’d try really hard to wait though.

When it was something serious the GP rang me to ask if I wanted to speak to them. I hadn't actually had the bad news but that came through an hour later so I rang the GP back and they called me within an hour.
