Toilet's fixed now but computer won't work..

Dh came home for lunch and sorted the toilet (I knew it was a extremely technical man-type job). The hook over the side of the cistern doodah was catching on the mechanism so the cistern couldn't refill with water. He moved it to the other side and it's fine now

Bl**dy PC won't work now (not this one obviously - but all my email and msn stuff is on the other one). I have changed the batteries in the mouse and the keyboard and pressed in the little buttons with a pen to re-set them. I have a light on my mouse, but not on my keyboard and I can't move the cursor or use any of the keys on the keyboard. Have re-set the PC and now it is just stuck on the WindowsXP log in page.

Any ideas?

And SenoraP if you happen to read this - can't reply to your email 'cos of the above - I know you've sent one but as soon as I tried to read it the PC went haywire.

reboot it - it will complain that you haven't shut it down properly - but you already know that - it won't let you .

Glad the loo is sorted ! Bet you could have figured that out yourself if you were brave enough to look at it carefully .

Tried that - didn't work. Suspect it is another man job.
