I was reminded that last year I had a plaintive thread asking where I could find DS (then 6) a toy graveyard

this year DD (3.5) has asked for a wind-up guinea pig

and I see Boco's DD (also 3) would like a goat

what requests make you larf

my dc have no specific requests but are very excited about Christmas, ds (4) went to see Santa at the shopping centre and rooted to the spot, when asked what he wanted he, fixed his stare on him and yelled 'something I like' when pressed he wanted 'presents' again yelled at the poor man, 'what kind of presents?' asks Santa, ds: (yelling) - 'stuff I like' we took him out!!!! pooor old Santa!

onebatmother · 06/12/2007 13:46

lol!

ElenyaTuesday · 06/12/2007 13:53

When ds2 was little he asked for a "paying money thing"......

This year (aged 8) he has requested something which costs £80 but he wrote a carefully crafted letter to Santa saying that if Santa would pay £40 towards it, Daddy could contribute £20 and Mummy could contribute £20 so it wouldn't be too expensive!!!!!

pollywollybauble · 06/12/2007 14:10

last year dd 2y wanted "a crumpet, with butter, cut in half, some ginger beer and a maisy book"....times change...

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 06/12/2007 14:19

dd (6) wants a pet pigeon.

flatmouse · 06/12/2007 14:31

DS (7) has put (amongst other things) on his list:
£1.49
£1.99
£3.04

No idea why. Think he may receive one of those.

ElenyaTuesday · 06/12/2007 14:37

flatmouse, that is so funny!

PirateInaPeartree · 06/12/2007 14:58

not an item as such. Yet this outlines the magical yet not so magical notion of santa.

'But mummy, I can have it(exp toy) becuase father xmas doesnt have money, he just 'gets' things, becuase he makes them, well not him, his elves mummy, so its not going to cost HIM anything'

ehm...

answers on a postcard pls.

oh. she's 5 btw.

dosydot · 06/12/2007 15:03

Last year DD then 1.11 asked for presents, pink ones - that was easy
this year everything is odd green binoculars and a white cat
and a stick sweet like the one yesterday in the shop - she has no concept of time passing so this could be yesterday today last week 8 months ago - And she has never had a sweet anything like a stick - I think she means a lolly ???

PirateInaPeartree · 06/12/2007 15:13

a candy cane? been anywhere near BHS, they've all that sweet tat out atm.

UnquietDad · 07/12/2007 12:45

Not sure who wanted "candy canes" but Superdrug have bumper packs of them for 99p.

ArmadilloDaMan · 09/12/2007 15:06

ds has added to his list.

HE wants a new mummy - a red one?

But has decided he will settle for me if I am painted red.

Thanks love

3Dmincepie · 11/12/2007 08:49

sorry armadilloDaMan but hehehehe!!!!

Othersideofthechannel · 11/12/2007 08:59

My kids (4 and 3) haven't asked for anything. Does that make them weird?

Although DS has asked for a remote control car for his fifth birthday.

mummymagic · 11/12/2007 09:23

Your kids are all adorable!

My dd is too little to ask yet but my little sister aged 4 asked for a Father Christmas outfit - there was no such ready-made one available at the time so my mum painstakingly gathered it all together (santa hat, black belt, red top etc). She loved it!

onefootinthegravy · 11/12/2007 09:28

My DD is a massive Robin Hood fan and more than anything wants a real bow and arrow! She's also informed me that she can't wait to go to heaven so she can meet the real Robin Hood not to soon I hope

monkeybutler · 11/12/2007 09:40

Dilbertina, in our house a bom bom is an armpit. Thats what DD (4) calls it anyway.

sighkotika · 11/12/2007 10:04

would a billadder be a calculator?

JingleyJen · 11/12/2007 10:12

we sat at the weekend and wrote a letter to Father Christmas with DS1 he would like
tap water
carrots
pretend cheese
biscuits
a baby brother and sister (I am not pregnant!)
and a bicycle.

I can manage most of those but the baby brother and sister is going to be hard!

wilbur · 11/12/2007 10:15

DD wants a ballerina computer. I have no idea what that is - anyone?

cazboldy · 11/12/2007 10:16

I can't believe I am going to admit this, but here goes!
We are farmers and ds2 has a few old cows, which are kind of like his pets. He likes hereford cattle and wants a baby hereford.

He wrote hereford semen to A.I Rosy on his christmas list.
along with a jack russel puppy and some JCB overalls!

wilbur · 11/12/2007 10:18

ROFL cazboldy - I think that wins hands down!

Kathyate6mincepies · 11/12/2007 10:22

LOLOL Cazboldy!

cazboldy · 11/12/2007 10:31

You should have been there when i was trying to explain it to his teacher!
