I was reminded that last year I had a plaintive thread asking where I could find DS (then 6) a toy graveyard

this year DD (3.5) has asked for a wind-up guinea pig

and I see Boco's DD (also 3) would like a goat

what requests make you larf

I used to help wioth Gateway Club in Birmingham. and I used to love reading thier letter to Father Chjristmas after the Christmas parties as they would come up with the most bizzarre things ever, like "I want 548736 reindeer in my bedoom and 15 pairs of red socks"

Some of the letters used to make me sob though, they were so sad.

ds (3 in Dec) asked for the biggest tractor in the world, a trailer, a tipper...

And some diesel!! I was chuffed he knew what tractors ran on

dragonstitcher · 05/12/2007 16:13

DD age 7 wants her breakfast in her stocking. (Santa puts a small packet of novelty cereal and a carton of orange juice in my kids stocking every year, to insure they eat breakfast before starting in on the junk, lol)

When she was at playgroup, Santa visited and asked what she wanted. She asked him for her Barbie car in the shed. (In a pile of toys I'd put out there in a bid to get them to tidy their bedroom).

goingfor3christmaspuddings · 05/12/2007 16:15

DD2 would like a small bag of mushrooms from my mum for christmas.

Misdee · 05/12/2007 16:18

last year dd2 list made me laugh. she wanted 2 hedgehogs, man with a pretend stomache and soemthing else.

SpawnChorus · 05/12/2007 16:26

DD (2.11) would like four chocolate buttons. She's so demanding

Twinkie1 · 05/12/2007 16:28

DS wants a Wavy Milk - after much discussion and questioning of said 3 year old we found out that he actually wants a Milky Way - just a chocolate bar belss him - oh that was before he watched TV and now wants everything he sees on the adverts!

UnquietDad · 05/12/2007 16:28

One of the most touching things I've ever read on here was about someone's DS who asked for a strawberry yoghurt and a red balloon for his birthday. I'm sure he got it. Sorry, I've forgotten who it was.

Prunie · 05/12/2007 16:29

DS wants a Toyota Hilux.
Bloody Top Gear.
(He also wants four children, not for Christmas, just, you know. He will call them Jeremy, Richard, James and the Other One.)

Flame · 05/12/2007 16:32

DD (4.5) - Spiderman top, spiderman torch and a talking iggle piggle.

DS (22 months) wants a cat judging by the way he hugs the tv when any come on

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 05/12/2007 16:38

hatrick 'percy' is cute!

Miaou · 05/12/2007 16:39

dd1 (10) asked for some forms for Christmas!!! Some lovely mumsnetters are sending me some

Miaou · 05/12/2007 16:40

(Prunie, surely the fourth one should be called The Stig? )

Flame · 05/12/2007 16:40

Oh DD also asked if we could get some pennies so we could pay for me to do reading at school next term

I felt mean - she just assumes if we don't do things it is because of money. This time it is because of DS!

Prunie · 05/12/2007 16:43

(Miaou, I did suggest that, but he says no, it'll be the Other One. Poor kid...)

IntergalacticWalrus · 05/12/2007 16:55

Oh yes, and unrelated, but not IYSWIM,

Ds1 keeps asking if he cabn taked his baby brother back to the baby shop (His baby brother is 15 months old - you'd think he'd be used to him by now)

When my DD was 3 she wanted a dead mouse. I still have the letter to Santa she "wrote" at Playgroup with it on.

Flo23 · 05/12/2007 17:10

DS1 (3 next week) just wants clay. Too much Mister Maker I think..

ProjectIcarus · 05/12/2007 17:13

Misdee - man with pretend stomach isn't the playdough one is it?

Misdee · 05/12/2007 17:43

it was, playdough operation. but it had us scratching our heads for weeks.

but this year everything is normal.

jooseyfruit · 05/12/2007 17:46

when ds1 was 6, he wanted a "real" magic wand. Even Santa in the shopping centre, said "Tough one!" with raised eyebrows!
