Truly Madly Deeply
Terms of Endearment (but that also makes me scream with frustration)
Its a Wonderful Life

Has anyone seen 'Angie' with Geena Davis? Made me cry a long time ago, but haven't seen it in a long time.

Its a wonderful life (when his brother comes in at the end)
Braveheart (when he's about to be executed and sees the ghost of his wife coming for him)
The Railway Children (uncontrollable sobbing when it gets to the Daddy my Daddy! bit at the end)
Beauty and the Beast cartoon (when you think beast is dead)
The Green Mile (all the way through)
Forrest Gump (when he's talking to Jenny's grave)
And the end of The Snowman with the little mound of melted snow absolutely finishes me off.

and the one where Meg Ryan is an alcoholic with a gorgeous husband. Can't remember what it's called!

Just remembered another heartbreaker -"Who will look after my children". Must be 10 yrs since I seen it, but still remember crying my eyes out.

ghengis · 17/10/2003 17:17

KS, that's the one with Andy Garcia (I think). I have a drink problem and the first time I watched that film it struck a chord - ouch, the truth hurts!

I even cried at Arthur Fowler's funeral on Eastenders - now that IS pathetic!

EmmaTMG · 17/10/2003 18:29

Dahlia, I was just thinking about Forrest Gump and couldn't work out why it wasn't mentioned here (only skimmed through this thread) and when I saw your 'when he talking at jenny's grave' it brought a tear to my eye.......God that film and appartently even thinking about it really gets me.
Like everyone else mine are English Patient, embarrassed to admit now but Titanic, The Champ(the first film I ever cried at), Ghost ( I cried for hours after it finished). I'm sure there are loads more as I'm an emotional old fool nowadays.

tinyfeet · 17/10/2003 19:12

Has anyone seen the Czech movie called 'Kolya'? It made me cry, although I'm sure it's not meant to be a tearjerker. Also, I stupidly watched 'Cider House Rules' right after I had DD, when I cried for no reason at all. I cried through the entire movie. It doesn't take much to make me blubber.

CnR · 17/10/2003 20:00

MichelleM - I remember that one too; I watched it once when I was off school ill. think I cried all the way through it, espeically the ending.

sibble · 17/10/2003 20:56

Philadelphia - was working on HIV ward and had to leave for a few minutes because the person behind me said they couldn't hear the film (I was on my own as well!!!)
Schindlers List
Mandy
Moonstruck
The X pennies (Can't remember if there were 4 or 5 of them!)

Rags · 18/10/2003 15:14

everything soppy (and sometimes even the non-soppy ones). Oh Schindlers List & Watership Down aswell.

Demented · 18/10/2003 16:22

ET, watched it with DS1 yesterday, even although I slept through most of it I still cried at the end (I've seen it loads of times before and know that ET isn't really dead but just can't help myself).

There would be loads more on my list I cry at nearly every film I see.

naughtynoonoo · 18/10/2003 16:57
