After several months of unemployment, I've now started working as a 100% remote temp on a 5-month contract which may or may not get extended.
I'm living down south and have been thinking for quite a while about relocating to somewhere with a cheaper cost of living/better quality of life (up north say or Wales). However I'm worried that if my contract is not extended, I will be unemployed again and stuck in a part of a country with much poorer employment prospects (where I am now I can commute into London if needs be). In an ideal scenario, I'd get a new 100% remote permanent job, though obviously there is no guarantee of that, and many companies may want people to come into the office 1-2 days a week at least.
Given the above situation, do you think it would be wise to relocate, or should I hold off until I get something permanent?
