some nice wardrobes.
We have two unusual sized alcoves either side of chimney breast in bedroon..chimney breast has radiator on it so cant do my prefered method of fitted wardrobes straight across, SO!, its either a long wardrobe which you will see side of when entering the bedroom, which will go into the alcove, but will not be in the alcove IYSWIM?, this will give LOADS of stoarage space OR two nice but not much storage wardobes which will be a git to find to fit two stupidly odd spaces?

been to home interiors/race for furniture/harveys and the like today but cant find anything 'wow' or sturdy enough or actually decide..HELP!

Get some made.
MDF painted a cool colour and then splash out on really good handles.
We have a wall of these in our bedroom.Cost next to nothing.

I sketched what I wanted and the builder made 'em.

SweetSnowflake · 25/11/2007 08:06

so, being cheeky, how much did that cost?

No.not cheeky at all.
Er, form what I remember, about £300 for what is basically the length of three very roomy wardrobes. I could likn you to the handle company I went to if you are interested.

Builder (local) did the cupboards. Handles were from Quattro door furniture which I got from a very helpful company called Associated Finishers LTD. Phone and ask for a brochure. 0121 359 0958
Sort of cool industrial looking stuff (if that is your thing.)
