I need a solid wood (preferrably oak) dining table, about 160cm long, extendable to c.200cm.

Why is it so difficult to find?

Can anybody help?

You can get tables made to order from Treske
www.treske.co.uk/

Our first house was in Thirsk so all our wooden furniture is their natural ash!

They look nice, thanks.

Any idea what their prices are like.

One site that I found and had beutiful things on it but no prices turn out to be asking £4.2K for the table alone plus £600 per chair.

How about this? I think they do made to measure tables too. Quite pricy - don't know what your budget is, but i think some of their stuff is lovely.

It looks nice, thank you.

Except that it does not extend.

My budget is up to £1,000 but I'd prefer to spend less if possible.

Think treske would be less than 4K but more than 1K - especially if you're after solid oak, think thats more expensive than ash.

But it is durable - we've been married 20 years and its pretty much undinted.

oh sorry, didn't read the op properly .

Will try harder next time.
