New mattress or.... ?

Morning all!

Our mattress is about 4 years old, and every time one of us moves all the springs seems to make a noise! I daren't roll over to get comfy or get up to use the loo because the noise seems to wake our LB sometimes, as he sleeps in our room (9 weeks old).

Would a mattress topper help with this (I.e. mute the springs even a little?!) Or is a new mattress needed?

What is the mattress on? Divan or slats? Cos if it is a divan, could it be that that is making the noise?

But no, I don't think a topper will work. But maybe you could try by putting a duvet or two on top and experimenting & seeing if that helps to dull the sound. If it does, maybe a topper would help.

Good luck!

It's on slats. Maybe I just need to stop being tight and just buy a new mattress, one without springs this time haha. Thank you.

New firm mattress and comfy think mattress topper of memory foam worked wonders for my sleep, back and I can't even feel DH move or even come to bed - bliss

That sounds perfect!! Any tiny movement in this bed is a risk to waking LB up!
