What is Towcester like? advice needed

Hi,
May have the opportunity to move to Towcester. Never been there. What is it like? Is it a nice place to live????

sorry, but i think its a bit of a dump!, small high street which you cant park on, schools not great, scenery non-existant, near milton keynes so great shopping there housing expensive....but thats just my opinion.

Its got a NH racecourse with a very steep finish, suits horses with bags of stamina, who often disapoint next time out!
Also is very close to Silverstone motor racing track (could be noisey in a vvvrrreeooo sort of way)and a nightmare when the British GP is on. Other than that I dont know

Hi janeybops. I used to live in a little village called Paulerspury, near Towcester when I was younger. I think Towcester has character. Silverstone doesn't really cause a problem, on a racing day at worst it sounds like a far away swarm of bees, it's quite quiet really. The countryside nearby is beautiful, lots of hedges, large verges, country lanes and that sort of thing. Considering my childhood I have fairly happy memories of that particular area!
