I've fully embraced the alcohol free booze and would be grateful for any suggestions you may have.
So far the best I've tried are...
Adnams Ghost Ship
Heineken 0%
Brewdog Nanny State & Punk AF

I'd really like to find an alcohol free gin to have with all the lovely flavoured tonics but so far have only tried 'Drivers Tipple' which was ok but I'm sure there are better out there, any suggestions?
Also,an alcohol free fizz recommendation would be appreciated. Smile

Bumping this as I'd like to know too..!

I drink coors light which is probably one of the lightest beers. I've yet to find a decent non alcoholic beer. They all taste to hoppy for me. Everybody raves about Heineken but I'm not pushed, I find it goes flat really quick. Interested to see some suggestions.

I’ve been dry for 12 years. I’m currently into Strykk not Rum and ginger ale.

Balsamic vinegar mixed with lemonade, lemons limes, and mint etc makes a fantastic fake Pimms.

Cider vinegar is nice with soda water

Don Simon blue raspberry lemonade mixed with Schweppes Russian Soda has a nice Blue Wkd vibe.

Nonsecco is one of the nicer alcohol free wines.

Also interested in this. Got some nozeco last night. Was enjoying it and then noticed it was 0.5% ABV so dumped the rest. Anyone know if this is safe/allowed please? Was really enjoying myself up til then!

I like alc free Cobra

Monkeytennis92 · 30/05/2021 06:28

I'm desperate to find a decent AF wine! One that actually tastes like wine!

ZooeyS · 30/05/2021 06:37

Gordon’s af gin is okay. I’ve found a couple of good prosecco substitutes - Nosecco and an Eisberg sparkling - but no luck on red yet. My favourite is Martini Rossi, I honestly think it tastes slightly boozy.

BigHeadBertha · 30/05/2021 06:39

I dislike alcohol free "booze."

Instead, I've trimmed my calorie intake by not having any drinks with calories, for the most part. It adds up to quite a bit.

On the very rare occasions I do have something like that, it will be an alcohol free sweet fruity drink, like a pina colada or strawberry daquiri.

Seedlip for gin, it’s as pricey as actual gin but lovely! I also love Freedam no alcohol lager. DH drinks a lot of AF IPA, infinite sessions is the current favorite! Don’t know where you shop but our Sainsbury’s has an ever expanding range of AF drinks but we’ve yet to find AF wine that’s worth it 😞

HoneyDragon · 30/05/2021 08:53

@emmaneill24 that is exactly the same alcohol content as orange juice. So if you’re drinking that than the nonzero is fine from a physiological point of view. 0.5 can’t affect you.

It also depends on why you’ve stopped alcohol. Some people struggle with substitutes as it makes them just want the real thing. Others just don’t want to drink but still want adult options to enjoy.

The M&S sparkling AF free wine was a bit meh, but would be great if you wanted a less sickly version of Schloer. The Tesco AF fizz is really nice but the best yet I think is the Friexenet.
I discovered last night that one of our locals has Heineken 0% on draft, that was a treat! You rarely see AF lager on tap.
That's two nights in a row I've been to the pub and drank AF beers, really enjoyed calling it a night early and not knocking it back until closing like I would have done and waking up with no hangover and post session depression is a win. No one batted an eyelid that I wasn't 'drinking' I was so worried that people would think I was a fun sponge for giving up. Mad I know because all my friends are lovely non-judgemental types.

I’ve just discovered big drop brew company ( www.bigdropbrew.com)

They do non alcoholic craft beers. I just discovered a non alco milk stout from them that I love.

Gobolino80 · 30/05/2021 12:13

@Yutes yes! I ordered some of theirs from Ocado, the golden ale was lovely. Very impressed so far.

Im looking forward to trying some of their others. They do limited editions seasonally too. Looking forward to trying a pale ale but I really love stout and Porter.
