cleaners - how much do you pay?

does anyone know how much the going hourly rate is for a cleaner?

We pay £7 an hour (London) - suspect we'll have to raise this soon

depends where you live i suppose. I get paid £6 per hour near manchester.

We pay £7 ph too (straightforward cleaning - no ironing, no windows). Hertfordshire.

also in (West) London and pay £6/hour

I'm in Oxford and pay £10 per hour. But our cleaner is a star who also makes us delicious yogurt and curries because she likes cooking and her husband is unappreciative .....

I'm in Kent and pay £6.75 an hour for cleaning and ironing.

I pay £6 ph in Bristol

£7 in London for ironing and cleaning....

£6 an hour in Herts, cleaning only

£15 for two cleaners for 45 minutes- I was shocked when I realised how little they did adn how short a time they were here. We got rid of them after a few months but it was fairly handy to do the hoovering/bathroom etc while I had a tiny baby. Bought a Bisselle now and do it myself- much better value!

7.50 in Harrogate - horrendously expensive around here and she was crap. Can't find another one.

6 quid in manchester =although I do know of people who try to pay less - how they live with themselves I don't know...

That wasn't the most expensive quote by a long way.
