I missed a blood test the other week due to the postal strike - the letter telling me about it arrived 3 days after the actual appointment

Have just received a rather stroppy letter from the surgery telling me off for missing it. The letter finishes with 'Please can u[sic] contact the surgery . . .'

I know a few people post on here in text speak (which I don't bother to read as it just hurts my brain) but since when was it acceptable to send a letter from a GP's surgery containing it?

It was probably typed by a 16-yr old work experience girl, who doesn't know any better!

My surgery and the adjoining chemist have just taken on a load of really young girls and they are just soooo stroppy and useless. I ordered a repeat inhaler and when i phoned up the chemist to see if it was ready a week later they said it wasn't there and to ring hte surgery. I rang the surgery and they said they hadn't had the request through and were really apologetic. The other day my mum rang up and the girl on the other end of the phone said she'd get the triage nurse to ring her back, but they never called.
