If so are you experiencing problems with either of them?

I'm having a nightmare (8 successful calls in 3 months - the rest were all just silence) and Craphone Warehouse aren't being much use either.

DH had a problem with 3 recently - have they gone and changed the back up network (the one they use when 3G doesn't work) without telling you (from O2 to something else?).

Oooh - did it mean that he couldn't make calls. I'm just getting silence both ends - people can se I"m calling them but can't hear me and I can'ty hear them and the net result is that both parties get p'd off. This has been going on since August.

I'm not with 3 anymore for the reasons you mention, however, my contract is almost up with t-mobile and so I'm getting those bloody awful sales calls with the fantastic deals on 3.. when I refused and explained the problems I'd had, the sales person said that they share Orange network so the coverage is much better now.

Might be that you need to change a setting somewhere

So do you reckon it's the network rather than the phone then?

Orange may be better than O2 in some places, but not where we live. Pennies, it could be either the phone or the network. There will be a setting somewhere in the phone which determines which network it switches to - if that's not properly set you'll have problems. If you don't get good reception in your area on the network you've been switched to, that could also be a problem. DH's problem is more recent, but the change is taking place gradually, so may have affected you in August.
