Any else had experience of this? We ordered a bed on 2 September and were told it would be up to six weeks til delivery. Were not delighted to wait this long but still bought the bed.
Then received a letter a couple of weeks later saying delivery would be by 25 November latest (ie approx 12 weeks after ordering). Still not happy but stuck with it as thought it might be earlier.
Received a letter today saying bed would not be delivered until after Christmas, and did not specify when after Christmas. We have no beds in our 4-bed house except for our own bed and DS's toddler bed, plus cot, we have whole family coming to stay at Christmas, and twins due shortly after Christmas.
Just called them, was on hold for 35 mins, asked if we could get a different bed with some kind of discount and get it sooner, and was told we can either wait for the bed, or cancel our order. Also found out we will be charged for the phonecall (no freephone number), so I have 35 mins at standard rate to add to it. Am . Man was not even apologetic. Not his fault I know but he didn't even try to apologise.
Sorry, just ranting as had a sh*t day and this has added to it. Anyone else peed off with Laura Ashley? Please can I have some sympathy??????????
