Total long shot- Little Ted left behind?

My dd (9months) was given the book Little Ted Left Behind a few weeks ago and it came with a soft toy little ted. she absolutely adored the ted and took it whenever she went out. I said to dh a couple of days ago that we should maybe buy a spare just in case she ever lost it but we decided we wouldn't need to as we'd be really careful. But disaster struck yesterday- we were out for lunch and I decided to walk back while dh took the car. Got home and Ted had disappeared. SHe definitely had it when we left the pub. Dh cycled our route home on the way to work this morning and couldn't find it and I've just put up 10 posters asking if anybody has seen him but no luck. She isn't too bothered yet but I would really like to find another one (or preferably the original!).

HAs anyone seen one anywhere? My 9 year old sister bought it for her and would be really upset if she knew we'd lost it.

I just went into town and bought her a couple of toys but they're not the same!!

Anyone help?

What does the bear look like?

He's about 20cm, light brown and furry and is wearing a red jacket. And is very sucked/chewed

Do you have any more information about the book maybe? As you maybe able to find it that way too.

I couldn't find it on Amazon, Books for Children of the Book People. Google didn't help either.

Good idea, I'm so scatterbrained I didn't think of that. The book is called Little Teddy Left Behind by Anne Mangan and I THINK it's published by Little Tiger Press (also says an 'imprint of MAgi Publications)

Am I right in thinking that the Little Ted Left Behind was a limited edition gift set? You can definitely buy the book from hulababy?s link but not sure that the teddy is incl. in the listed copy. Worth contacting the Little Tiger press direct and asking them about posisble suppliers - or maybe your posters will do the trick. Good Luck.

I'm officially the biggest plonker around. Dh just came in having cycled past all my signs and asked if I'd tried phoning where we went for lunch. I replied (quite sarcastically) that she definitely had it when we left but agreed to try anyway.

Thanks all of you for all your help. fwiw, I asked my mum where my sis got it from and she said it was from a leaflet for some book club or other and wouldn't know how to get another one.

DD will be sooo happy tomorrow. I'm putting a collar and lead on it
