Wee soaked shoes - what's the solution?!

Ds (3) started nursery last week and having been dry for six months is now peeing on everything in sight. I'm hoping this is just a phase while he settles in but in the meantime I've got a sopping pair of leather shoes from an undiscovered incident. They are wet on the outside and the insole (not removable) is also soaked. How would go about cleaning them up/removing smell etc. Thanks for any advice!

I think you should wash them with a weak vinegar solution, it gets rid of the amonia smell and removes tide marks

Thanks Suzy - should I do that inside and out?
