What's the name of that anatomical toy thing that Damien Hurst ripped off?

Is this the kind of thing?

Tamum · 07/11/2007 18:41

Actually I'd love to see Damien Hurst's version of Operation

SoupDragon · 07/11/2007 18:44

LOL @ Operation Not entirely sure I do want to see Damien Hurst's interpretation of that one!!

That's the one, Tamum. I think DS2 (6) would adore it

Ds has a smaller version of it and loved it when he was younger- hope your ds2 does too!

SoupDragon · 07/11/2007 18:49

He has Horrible Science "deadly diseases" as his bedtime reading book at the moment!

Tamum · 07/11/2007 18:51

Oh, that will be perfect then, and he can also become a doctor and keep you in your old age. Result (has he got a microscope by the way? I can give you a link to a site with loads of cool sets of slides if you want)

SoupDragon · 07/11/2007 18:56

He's wanted to be a doctor since he was 3. And the reason he wants to be one? "To make people better"!! One of his favourite presents has been a box of 40 assorted plasters! Actually, that reminds me, I'm sure someone on MN once said they'd got their child a proper stethoscope as a present once...

I'd forgotten about the microscope. I think there's one in the garage somewhere but I've no idea if it works or not.

We've got a proper stethoscope somewhere, they are good fun. Ah, bless him. The slides are here if you ever need them!

Tamum · 07/11/2007 19:21

Hey Soupy! Just got the latest Tchibo newsletter and look here!! Maybe a bit old though?

Anatomy set. Hell, I might treat myself to the genetics dial

SoupDragon · 07/11/2007 19:49

I did see that Tchibo one earlier, oddy enough It's what made me think of the "original". I'm going to go and look at the Tchibo one before making a decision.

Now, where can I buy a stethoscope without making me look like someone with a medical fetish?!

(last year it was "fake treasure", this year it;s bodies and medical equipment.)

Nice PJs 'Frau. Surprisingly Bat Free too!

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 07/11/2007 19:50

It's worth getting it to see if the genetics dial deals with inheriting eye colour...

OP posts:
Tamum · 07/11/2007 20:00

I knew that was coming

SoupDragon · 07/11/2007 20:06

It's bound to be, er, the simplistic version though, isn't it?? And thus another generation is mislead...

OP posts:
Tamum · 07/11/2007 20:26

I think the chances it covers all the susceptibility genes and multiple alleles is pretty minimal, yes.
