Blood stains on carpet. Help please!

DD's had a nose bleed and some drips of blood went on the carpet. Does anyone know what's the best way to get it out?

I have just said this on another thread. White vinegar!! Did a great job for me on my beige carpet

cold water (hot will fix it) pour bit of water on it then pat it out with absorbant cloth or towel - repeat as nec.... also OXYCLEAN is vg

If i remember rightly, I used cold water and sugar?? when my ds had a nose bleed on our carpet. HTH
